Fyben School vows to deliver world class service to students in Nigeria
The proprietor of the school, Mr Festus Ogwu made this disclosed during the end of year party of the school held at its premise, located at No 9, Adepoju street, off Oriola street, Alapere, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Ogwu said that the school, which began around September this year, has quality service delivery in education as its hallmark. This vision of being world class educational institution guided the management of the school in recruiting well qualified, experienced and matured teachers to impart knowledge on the pupils.
In addition to quality staff, Fyben School, the proprietor further disclosed has in the last four months being organizing in-service training and periodic assessment of the teachers, in order to discover their peculiar talents.
The training and assessment are geared toward ensuring that the teachers are groomed to be up- to-date with modern ways of imparting knowledge to students at the primary and secondary school levels, Ogwu said.
However, the Fyben boss released what clearly appeared to be cherry news, when he told the parents that attended the party that the management of the school is presently fine tuning modalities in order to provide modern N-computing facilities in the school.
According to him, N-computing facilities are modern information technology facilities that are in use by most educational institutions in developed countries to impart knowledge to students.
The facilities involved connecting several desktop computers to one main central processing unit, where students in various classes are expected to use the facilities at the same time.
The proprietor further explained that the facilities which is capable of downloading information from different systems through the connectivity arrangement is used in countries like India, China,USA, Malaysia and Ghana.
With the facilities in place, Fyben School will be the third school in the whole of Nigeria to be connected to the N-computing facilities.
The end of year party, which attracted more than 5000 persons around Alapere in Ketu, Lagos featured songs, debate, recitation, Igbo and Yoruba cultural dances, chorography, parent games, news presentation and play -let among others.
Mrs Ada Onyejekwue, a parent and chairlady at the occasion told National Daily that the commendable performances of the pupils during the party is a clear indication of the quality training that pupils of the school are receiving from their teachers.
Onyejekwe, whose son, Ifechukwu Onyejekwu, is the kindergarten class at the school, expressed her gratitude to the Ogwu-led management of the school for imparting positively on lives of pupils in the school within this short period of its existence.
Speaking also with our correspondent, Abraham Ogunsola, the headmaster of the school explained that with the world class high standards set from inception by the proprietor of the school, it is most likely that by the special grace of God and supports from the management of the school, Fyben will be ranked among the best throughout Lagos in the next couple of years
