The District Chief Executive for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa (AOB), Mr. Emmanuel Domson, has appealed to parents to invest in their children’s education instead of funerals and other unnecessary
things.
Mr. Domson made the appeal at the closing of a ten-day training for 30 women from District at Breman Asikuma aimed at equipping them with income-generating skills on Friday.
It was organised by the District Office of the Rural Enterprise Project (REP) in collaboration with the District Business Advisory Centre (BAC).
Miss Charlotte Amankona, Director of Amankona Hair and Body Cream Manufacturing at Nyanfeaku Ekroful in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, who was the resource person, took the participants through topics including cream, hair products and talcum powder making.
The DCE appealed to the participants to put the knowledge they had acquired into good use for their benefit and that of the society.
He urged them to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme to enable them received quality affordable medical care.
Mr. Samuel Asiedu, District Head of BAC, appealed to the women to be businesses conscious and to avoid wasting their time and energy on unprofitable ventures.
